5th Annual Let's Do Science Day We would like to invite all grade 10 12 students to our upcoming, 5th annual free of charge "Let's DO Science" Day at the University of Lethbridge on Wednesday, April 27th, from 8:30am to 4:00pm.
We will showcase the different science disciplines at the U of L through hands on activities for high school students. Teams of students will have the chance to complete activities in areas such as physics, biochemistry, geography, psychology, neuroscience, math and chemistry. We hope to highlight the numerous research areas available for study, to enhance science literacy and to encourage students to apply for post seccondary education in the sciences. This event is offered as part of the U of L's Let's ray ban sunglasses wayfarer Talk Science program, which is a national organization that provides fun and educational science learning programs for children and youth across Canada. In particular, at the U of L we have been focusing on high school students across Lethbridge, bringing them exciting science activities, all free of charge. Registration will begin immediately on a first come, first serve basis as we can accommodate only 100 students. PLEASE NOTE: Your registration is ONLY ray ban sale aviator complete if you fill out the registration and consent ray ban 2012 forms (found below) and provide them to your teacher to email to us. You will be required to provide your own transportation to the University. You can find us at 8:30 am in room C640, located in University Hall. A map of the campus is included in the registration package. Light snacks and refreshments will be available during breaks and lunch will also be provided, all at no cost! Each activity will be approximately an hour in length and teams of best ray bans students will travel with a Let's Talk Science volunteer chaperone to different labs across campus.
This will allow you to not only participate in fun science activities, but will also familiarize you with the U of L campus. Finally, we will have a special presentation from a professor at the U of L. NOTE: Please wear appropriate attire, you may be performing chemistry/neuroscience experiments and long pants and close toed shoes are necessary! If you are not in the appropriate attire you may not be able to participate in certain activities.
