Production values so rayban website sweet you cry tears of caramel In case you weren't aware, Baz Luhrmann has an alarming knack for visuals; with 2001's Moulin Rouge and 2013's The Great Gatsby both possessing grandiose settings all deliciously served with eye popping panache. Every corner of the screen sings, with the glossed up seventies aesthetic and extravagant fashion being a sugary feast for the retinas you won ray ban rare prints want to miss. Artists like Miguel, Zayn, Leon Bridges and Janelle Monae have all contributed, sitting alongside Donna Summer's Bad Girls and Think (About It) by Lyn Collins. The swings from dreamer cheese to sincerity will question your emotional stability Ezekiel and Mylene are the heart of the show (Picture: Netflix) Like many musicals, The Get Down is a massive loving ode to dream chasers which centres around Ezekiel and Mylene Cruz's bid for superstardom to escape the Bronx. Beneath the glossy sheen and dramatic cheese however, there's heaps of surprising moments where the troubled romance or family feuds will leave an unexpected lump in one's throat. Blame it on the changing seasons if you must, but there's a whole lot of heart lurking under the show's flashy exterior. 5. The Get Down Brothers are everything and please someone send us a jacket Slight spoilers to follow. But it's fine, you'll get over it. The finale of the first half culminates in the formation of The Get Down Brothers; a fire spitting, smooth singing collective backed by DJ Shaolin Fantastic which is everything our ray ban wayfarer white dire world needs. There's set to be even more stunning performances in the second half, like the above rap mash up Break The Locks which will give you a severe case of night out envy. And seriously the jackets.
