Acrobats will take over Norwich's City Hall as part of the line Bhangra, followed by a downpour and fireworks on Saturday evenings entertainment fro the Lord Mayors 3025 ray ban Celebrations in Norwich.
Photo : Steve Adams 'Welcome to Norwich' will be the theme of this year's celebration, as the carnival atmosphere and community spirit return to the city's streets. And the three jam packed days of entertainment in the heart of the city, from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 July, will look to highlight Norwich's tradition of welcoming people from across ray ban precios the world to enjoy all it has to offer. As well as annual highlights such as the Lord Mayor's Procession and Gas Hill Gasp, there are also some exciting new additions City Hall will play host to Cirque Bordello's Lost in Translation Circus, as clowns and acrobats take over the building for a unique performance and, for the first time ever, thrill seekers will be able to zip wire down Theatre Street. Photo : Steve Adams Carnival goers will be invited to climb into a big whale and listen to salty rayban sun glasses tales when the new public space at Westlegate is transformed into a Lost River performance area, providing water themed entertainment to honour the underground stream, the Great Cockey, which used to flow down Westlegate. As well as an array of street performers, a medley of entertainment can be found at the The Birdstage and BBC Introducing stage, while the Maui Waui Lion's Den Stage will be home to folk, reggae and everything in between. This year will also see the Norwich Arts Centre take over the stage outside The Forum, providing a mix of music and performance. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy another theatrical production by the Common Lot, whose eclectic outdoor variety show 'Come Yew In' embraces the theme of this year's celebration in the picturesque surroundings of Castle Gardens. Back by popular demand, 2017 sees the welcome return of The Lanes Fayre and family favourites including the Chapelfield Gardens fun fair, Lord Mayor's Launch Pad and the Great Norwich Duck Race, as well as a firework display from Norwich Castle. Cllr Alan Waters, leader of Norwich City Council, said: "We are all so excited for this year's Lord Mayor's Celebration, which promise to be as vibrant and entertaining as ever.
